There are many similarities in the current affairs presented in both pages. This is probably because of the fact that both media groups are headquartered in England. Both have a sports section, hot news section, and a business section. But The Telegraph has a lot more sections than The Guardian. The Guardian has a weather forecast section while The Telegraph does not. In terms of layout and design, both are very colorful and have a lot of pictures. The Telegraph looks more modern because it has more animations and color. On the other hand, The Guardian has plain headings and has pictures organized neatly. Both homepages have very little ads and if there are, it is small. Each newspaper has one big ad on the top of the page and it varies depending on your IP address. The Guardian has slightly more ads than The Telegraph. The ads in The Guardian are more about the branches of The Guardian such as the Guardian Home Exchange. It also has ads by Google, which changes constantly. The Guardian is owned by Scott Trust Limited, a group mainly consisting Liberal editors. Because of this, the newspaper was formed around Liberalism. The founder of The Guardian was also a liberal. The Telegraph is owned by Telegraph Media Group mainly consisting editors and board members who are Conservative activists. Because of this large Conservative Party, The Telegraph is also sometimes called The "Torygraph".
